Description
A prebiotic is not a probiotic.
Probiotics are bacteria. Prebiotics are soluble fiber that grows in plants and that dissolves in water. The fiber doesn?t change when it passes through the small intestine because the juices and enzymes there don?t digest food fibers.
When it gets to the large intestine it is fermented by bacteria there. The prebiotics are really the fuel for the bacteria?s growth. When the good bacteria are properly fed by a good amount of prebiotics and also the right kind of fiber, many health benefits result.
These prebiotics are made from Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum , also known as PHGG. It is taken from the guar bean and is broken down with natural enzymes into the ideal molecular size.
They are guaranteed not to feed bad bacteria and because of the partial hydrolyzation, does not cause any gas or bloating.
Not only do the prebiotics increase the number of good bacteria a lot, they also reduce some of the possibly dangerous bugs in the colon. They also are able to increase the absorption of calcium and magnesium and strengthen bones as well as increase bone density. They also produce acidic substances that the cells in our large intestine thrive on.
Prebiotics allow you to maintain a strong immune system in the colon. There is lots of research now to show how beneficial prebiotics are for people suffering with gastrointestinal problems like IBS, crohn’s, colitis, diarrhea, constipation, leaky gut and general dysbiosis. There is around 14.3 gm of fiber in 1 tablespoon of PHGG.
